Journalist Mat Honan recounts his experience of being hacked and having his systems wiped out.
“In the space of one hour, my entire digital life was destroyed.”
Honan had his Twitter, Gmail, and Apple accounts taken over by his attackers. All of which happened a minute after obtaining his first password. Some online commentators were quick to blame Honan for his lack of security but really we should all be working together to ensure that such personal hacks are made impossible to carry out.
